Pat Clarke Support Fund

In October 2015 our dear friend and family member Pat Clarke (now age 44) was diagnosed with inoperable brain cancer. After a valiant year-long fight, he is unfortunately now entering the final stages of this dreadful terminal disease, with perhaps only weeks or at most months left to live.

Pat is currently receiving in-home hospice care at his parents' house in Fredericksburg, VA. While insurance will cover most of the direct medical expenses, there are a number of related expenses involved with Pat's care that have been adding up and/or will be presenting themselves over time. These are being covered primarily by his parents, Gerry and Barbara, who are both retired. Obviously this situation is putting an enormous amount of physical and emotional strain on them, to say the least, without having to worry about financial matters on top of it all.

Because I know they would never ask, and I also know they could really use the help, I have decided to ask for them: Will you please consider making a financial donation to the Clarkes in their hour of need? Funds raised will be used exclusively to provide general support for Pat and his parents, to include covering things like medical expenses,  groceries, transportation, and other related costs associated with his care. 

I have put a $10,000 fundraising goal down -- which I think would make a significant difference -- but really any amount, however small, that you can give at this time would be most welcome and greatly appreciated. (And if we happen to exceed that goal, all the better.) I also know the Clarkes have an incredible extended family and friend network that is eager to help in any way they can, so I am offering this site as a means for you to provide direct support.
