In Memory of Pat Fermo

Metro-North Signal Maintainer Pasquale (Patrick) Fermo died of pancreatic cancer on Thursday, June 16, 2022, in his home surrounded by family.

 

Pat enjoyed 30 years in the railroad industry. The last seven with the Metro-North Railroad (MTA). He completed the Signalmen's Training Program and worked exclusively out of Mott Haven as a Sectional Maintainer, Test Maintainer, and member of the MO Maintenance Gang.

 

Patrick was a devoted husband who enriched his wife's life and inspired her in all her endeavors. Incredibly proud of his children and grandson, he worked tirelessly at providing them with adventures to enjoy daily living as he did. Renowned for his quick wit, he was a 'larger than life person' who welcomed everyone and never said, "I don't have time" to family, friends or neighbors.

In his memory his coworkers have come together to raise funds for his family.
