URDD GOBAITH CYMRU PATAGONIA INTERNATIONAL VOLUNTEERING PROJECT
In October 2018, I have been chosen to be a part of the Urdd’s annual international volunteering project in Patagonia, Argentina. I am the first person in Radnorshire to be selected for this important cultural exchange.
During my time in Patagonia I will be involved with all sorts of voluntary activities, including leading sessions with children and young people learning the Welsh language, visiting Patagonians of Welsh descent, working in schools with children from deprived areas and with special needs, helping with community projects and representing Wales in the Patagonian Eisteddfod.
I will be taking part in all stages of the project, from planning and organising the visit, volunteering on different projects, to fund raising and ongoing communication with our counterparts in Patagonia.
As you can imagine, there is a cost for this project. Each individual needs to raise £2,575 to participate in this project to enable us to undertake this important exchange and benefit from the experience. Money raised also supports the Menter Patagonia project which supports and develops community work in the region.
I believe that this project will enable me to bring new skills and experiences to the local community and it is with this in mind that I appeal to you for support to enable me to undertake this important project. Any sponsorship that you are able to donate will be recognised as support for the project as a whole.

Ym mis Hydref 2018 mae gen i’r fraint o fod yn rhan o grŵp Urdd Gobaith Cymru a fydd yn ymweld â Phatagonia, Yr Ariannin fel rhan o brosiect blynyddol gwirfoddoli rhyngwladol. Fi ydy’r person gyntaf o Faesyfed i gael fy newis i fynychu’r cyfnewidiad diwylliannol pwysig yma.
Yn ystod fy nghyfnod ym Mhatagonia byddaf yn gwneud pob math o waith gwirfoddol, gan gynnwys gwneud sesiynau gyda phlant a phobl ifanc sy’n dysgu Cymraeg yno, ymweld â thrigolion y Wladfa o dras Cymraeg, gweithio mewn ysgolion i blant difreintiedig a phlant gydag anghenion arbennig, cynorthwyo gyda phrosiectau cymunedol ac yn cynrychioli Cymru yn Eisteddfod Y Wladfa.
Byddaf yn ymgymryd â phob rhan o’r prosiect - o drefnu’r daith, gwirfoddoli ar amryw brosiectau, i godi arian a chyfathrebu gyda’n partneriaid ym Mhatagonia.
