Revel in quiet rebellion; gently let go and loudly move forward with four Belfast housemates.
Float is a show about hope and solidarity in the aftermath of assault, told through the lens of four young women living amongst the chaos of Belfast’s student life. Providing moments of stillness and moments of complete, chaotic Northern Irish humour, the entirety of the play builds to its final moments of catharsis when Erin can finally ask the central question... 'What next?'
Float is an anthem, not a ballad; decide to float instead of sink.
Float was first produced at the Dublin Fringe Festival 2023, to critical acclaim. (5 Stars Irish Times), followed by a sold out run at the MAC, Belfast.
We are currently working towards producing the show for wider audiences, both locally and internationally in the coming year and are seeking any support we can find. We are not a publicly funded organisation and so, to support the work of emerging artists we are currently starting a big fundraising push to bring this story to wider audiences in 2024/2025.
Any support is greatly appreciated! Thank you!
Team Float.
