Patient Supplies Drive - B'mth & Poole Hospitals

Having spoken with NHS staff in the local area about the effect of Covid-19 in Bournemouth & Poole, myself (Liam Kelly) and Josh Warren have become aware of some difficulties facing hospital patients in the local area.
Due to social distancing measures, patients are unable to be visited by friends and family at present. Not only does this put people in a lonely place as they battle their illnesses, but it also poses a problem for individuals in the sense that, without visitors, they cannot receive the toiletries and other items that are needed to make their stay in hospital more comfortable and bearable.
We plan to help lift patient's spirits by raising funds to purchase essentials, treats and items for entertainment, then deliver them to as many wards as possible within Bournemouth & Poole Hospitals.
We will use all funds to buy items such as:
Toiletries - Male/Female Deodorant, Sanitary Products, Toothpaste, Body Wash, Shampoo etc.
Treats - Sweets, Biscuits, Dried Fruit etc.
Entertainment - Various Magazines & Newspapers etc.
These items will be purchased online to reduce the risk of contamination and to lower costs through buying in larger quantities. We will then bag these items up, using the necessary hygiene precautions, and deliver them to the hospitals throughout the coming weeks.
Any money left over, once our project is complete, will be split between Poole Hospital Charity & Bournemouth Hospital Charity.
