Patriarch Juan Arias Loses 2 Week Battle to Covid

Donation protected

This is Juan "Chiro" Arias, a loving grandfather, father, uncle and brother and after a 2 week battle with covid-19 he is no longer with us at the age of 59 years old. Juan immigrated here from the Dominican Republic in 1968 at just 5 years old, he is a shining example of the American Dream. He worked hard to provide for his family and rose from the ranks of bag boy to multi-franchise produce manager after 40 years of dedicated service he was set to retire at the end of the year. His pride; his daughter Charlene, the center of his world, and his grandson Amari were his reason for living and he never went a day without expressing that love through his words and actions.

No one, including Juan thought that Covid-19 would take him out. Growing up with his brothers in New York in the 70s and 80s was hard enough. These 3 men are the best of friends and our families grew up together, Chiro would always remind us that we are more than cousins, we are brothers and sisters. To always be there for each other and take care of each other and we will continue to lead by his example.

My name is Anthony Arias and this was my Uncle Chiro. I've created this GoFundMe page to help with all the unforeseen expenses. My uncle, his brother (who recently had a stroke and is unable to work), his daughter and his grandson all live in the house he bought to keep his family close. Without him with us now there will be tough choices ahead to be made. Please keep us in your prayers.
