Patricia Cline Memorial Fund

Three months ago, as the world was celebrating a new year, Patricia (Pat) Cline's life took an unexpected turn. After admission to the University of Kansas Medical Center, and days of tests to determine what was the underlying cause of her digestive pain, the tests revealed she had cancer near her pancreas which had begun to spread throughout her body. Her prognosis was a grim 6 months, but as fate would have it, we only had 3 more months with her.
Pat grew up on the farmland of Kansas. The second of eight children, Pat was good at helping her mom with the household chores and caregiving for her younger brothers and sisters. As a young child, she learned how to care for babies, and throughout her life, holding a little baby in her arms would bring the biggest smile to her kind face.
In her adulthood, she spent years in administrative work, but her focus and joy in her life was raising her two children, Brian and Rana. She remained close to her children the rest of her life, and they shared a mutual love and respect for her in return.
In her past-times, Pat was an active member in her church and loved to line dance. There were many family and friends that would learn new line dances from Pat while she was smiling cheerfully while popular country music was filling the atmosphere.
In her later years, she retired from her administrative work so that she could focus on helping care for granddaughter, Rowan, and work part-time at her local library.
Pat lived a life full of love, and spread her love and kindness to all that crossed her path.
As Pat's children, Rana & Brian, adjust to life without their loving mother, we are creating a GoFundMe to help with the memorial expenses. In her last month's, there were many trips to the University of Medical Center, and the family incurred expenses while they stayed to be with Pat during her stays in the hospital. After the family's expenses are covered, any additional proceeds will be given to charities that have touched their lives.
Details about Pat's service is available at Bachelor-Surber Funeral Home.
