Patricia is My Bartender

Patricia Wilson is a revered matriarch in our queer communities.

The keystone of Buddies for almost 30 years, big sister to thousands of queerdos, Vazaleen's honored bartender,  poet, musician, Jack Daniels aficionado and friend to all "four footers", Patricia recently announced on social media that she "agreed to be terminated" by Buddies after decades of loving service to our communities.

Change is vital to any cultural organization. But so is the presence of our queer elders.

This hasty termination does not feel like the joyful and respectful send-off Patricia deserves for her closing act in this beloved community space.

Please join us in thanking Patricia for her three decades of kindness, guidance, generosity, and rock and roll wisdom.
