Patricia Mendoza Anti -Eviction Fund

Patricia and her two kids, like thousands of tenants and their families  throughout the US, are struggling - forced to choose between food and rent.  With the rise of COVID 19 infections,  evictions can lead to death, forcing families either on the streets or in over crowded housing.  And while families wait - and fight for - policies to protect our communities and prevent immoral evictions, we need to protect and help provide for our families now.   

This fund is to help Patricia and her family. However, we want to also help other families like Patricia - prevent evictions, help with back pay in rent, and food and bills when needed. 

While this fund to make sure that impacted families like Patricia are supported during this time, it's also important that tenants and supporters also organize and fight for policies to ensure all of us - tenants, families, seniors - can survive and stayed housed.  If you live in California, and want to join the campaign for rent forgiveness and to stop evictions during the pandemic,  you can check out ACCE Action at www.acceaction.org and get involved!
