Ajude Patricia em sua Batalha Contra a Neuromielite Óptica (NMO)!!

Somos uma rede de apoio que envolve colegas de universidade e amigos (anjos). Juntos, decidimos criar esta ação e este movimento para ajudar a Patricia Pereira.

Há 2 meses Patrícia iniciou uma jornada diferente, situações que nenhum de nós esperamos passar. De iniciais sintomas indicando um Derrame, suspeita de Esclerose Múltipla até o diagnóstico final, Patrícia tem vivido o momentos desesperadores.

A não evolução ao tratamento para esclerose múltipla levou a equipe médica investigar mais a fundo. Novos exames e a avaliação de mais profissionais levou o corpo clínico a um diagnóstico final: Neuromielite Óptica (NMO). Ela está sendo transferida da reabilitação de volta para o hospital Clinico e assim dar continuidade no tratamento.

A neuromielite óptica (NMO) é uma doença autoimune rara que afeta o sistema nervoso central e principalmente a medula espinhal e os nervos ópticos e não tem cura. O tratamento é contínuo além de adaptações à rotina e estilo de vida do paciente e à rede de apoio.

Patricia mora em Orlando-FL com seu esposo e um filho de 16 anos. As despesas médicas e o custo de vida aumentou exponencialmente, enquanto isso, a capacidade de trabalhar e manter a renda da família diminuiu. Esta família está enfrentando uma batalha difícil e precisa de toda a ajuda possível.

Estamos pedindo a sua generosidade para ajudar. Cada contribuição, grande ou pequena, fará uma enorme diferença na vida deles ajudando-os a cobrir as despesas básicas como moradia e tudo que envolve (aluguel, luz, agua, gás, etc) e dídividas que se acumulam.

Compartilhar esta campanha com amigos e familiares, divulgando essa história, é também um ato de solidariedade que pode trazer mais apoio e incentivo para essa família se adapte a essa realidade, se levante, ressignifique e honre cada compromisso que foi firmado.

Nota: Patrícia e sua família resistiram a criação desta ação. Sentimentos de medo, insegurança, incerteza e vergonha aliado à situação financeira atual os deixam consternados e constrangidos. E foi nesse momento, que nós Anjos da Espença os incentivamos a aceitar a campanha.

Help Patricia in her Battle Against Neuromyelitis Optica (NMO)!!

We are a support network that involves university colleagues and friends (angels). Together, we decided to create this action and movement to help Patricia Pereira.

2 months ago Patrícia started a different journey, situations that none of us expected to go through. From initial symptoms indicating a Stroke, suspicion of Multiple Sclerosis to the final diagnosis, Patrícia has been living through desperate times.

Failure to undergo treatment for multiple sclerosis led the medical team to investigate further. New exams and evaluation by more professionals led the clinical team to a final diagnosis: Neuromyelitis Optica (NMO). She is being transferred from rehabilitation back to the Clinical hospital to continue treatment.

Neuromyelitis optica (NMO) is a rare autoimmune disease that affects the central nervous system and mainly the spinal cord and optic nerves and has no cure. Treatment is continuous in addition to adaptations to the patient's routine, lifestyle and support network.

Patricia lives in Orlando-FL with her husband and 16-year-old son. Medical expenses and the cost of living have increased exponentially, meanwhile, the ability to work and maintain family income has decreased. This family is facing an uphill battle and needs all the help they can get.

We are asking for your generosity to help. Each contribution, big or small, will make a huge difference in their lives by helping them cover basic expenses such as housing and everything involved (rent, electricity, water, gas, etc.) and debts that accumulate.

Sharing this campaign with friends and family, publicizing this story, is also an act of solidarity that can bring more support and encouragement for this family to adapt to this reality, stand up, give new meaning and honor each commitment that was made.

We are united by a purpose of love. We try to see human beings beyond past mistakes and do not judge by failures. We extend a hand to help those who need to get back on their feet.

Let's go together, as Angels of Hope, to give Patrícia and her family the chance to give a new meaning to their lives, reestablish dignity and, above all, fight with all their strength against Neuromyelitis Optica (NMO).

Note: Patrícia and her family resisted the creation of this action. Feelings of fear, insecurity, uncertainty and shame combined with the current financial situation leave them dismayed and embarrassed. And it was at that moment that we Anjos da Espença encouraged them to accept the campaign.

Together, we can turn despair into hope and fear into strength.
