Patricia Weiping Wang (1965 – 2021)

 

So many of us were heartbroken by the news of the unexpected loss of Patricia Weiping Wang on October 3, 2021. Patricia lived a full and joyful life that inspired so many people to become the very best version of themselves. With this GoFundMe page, her friends hope to raise enough funding to create a long-lasting tribute by placing a memorial bench in a place she loved.

 

Patricia embraced a healthy lifestyle and was an avid hiker. She loved the San Francisco Bay Area and hiked most weekends, often planning and leading hikes so that her friends could enjoy the beauty of open spaces with her. As a resident of Santa Clara County, Patricia often hiked the county's parks and annually completed the county’s PixInParks challenge. Some of her favorite parks included Mt. Madonna, Uvas Canyon, and Ed R. Levine. We would like to place a memorial bench in one of these parks in her memory. With the funds raised by this GoFundMe page we hope to be able to purchase a bench and memorial plaque for the next 20 years. Should we raise more than the base funding, we will add additional memorial items in those parks.

 

Patricia squeezed as much living as possible into her too-short 56 years. She loved hiking, nature, and was passionate about preserving open spaces. She loved art and belonged to most of the museums in the Bay Area; she was a regular donor to the arts. She loved traveling the world and it was during these travels that she developed a passion for photography. She was also a foodie who enjoyed sampling the best of the local cuisines wherever she visited. And Patricia loved her work at Nvidia where she was so proud to be part of her team, she considered Nvidia her family in the Bay Area.

 

Always curious, generous, and energetic she brought a glow wherever she went. Patricia will be sorely missed by all her family, friends and colleagues. We invite anybody that would like to share in this memorial to contribute whatever amount they can, every gift will be meaningful.
