On Wednesday May 11th we all woke up to the scariest moment of our lives,
Patrick woke up and was getting ready for work when he suddenly started having seizures. Aliesha his long-time girlfriend/wife and mother of their daughter Lyric (1) and stepdaughter Jaedyn (7) woke up to a strange sound and found Patrick lying on the bathroom floor. He continued to have several seizures. Aleisha called the ambulance, and he was rushed to Georgetown hospital unresponsive.
When he got to the hospital, he was heavily sedated and put on anti-seizure medication. Once stable they did a CT scan where they spotted a 3.9 cm mass on the front right side of his brain. There are no words to describe how you feel when you get that kind of information.
Patrick was transferred to Oakville a few days later for an MRI. Today on May 13, 2022, we got the worst news possible. Patrick has a golf ball size tumor on his brain, and it is cancerous. He will have to have the tumor surgically removed.
Patrick just turned 34 years old in April.
He is healthy, strong willed and a hard worker. He is currently the sole provider for his family and since his licence has been taken away there is a lot of worry of how he is going to continue to provide for his girls.
He is truly the best DAD. His girls are the light of his life. He’s a loving boyfriend, son, the best twin/ brother, an uncle to two nephews and a good friend, cousin, and brother-in-law. He has the biggest heart, biggest smile, and the best personality. He loves to sing and dance and play the guitar. Patrick is also a diehard leaf’s fan. He said he will be watching the game tonight when he wakes up from surgery.
This is going to be a long road with many tears, worries and unknowns. The entire family is here to rally around him and surround him with love. We are asking if you can please donate to this family, every little bit will help get them through this challenging time.
Trust me when I say you never think it will happen to your family or that you would ever need to ask for help or support until it does.
If nothing at all that's okay, but please say a prayer. We believe in manifesting positivity and trying to take this moment by moment.
Thank you so much the Martin Family XO
