Patrick Dillon Memorial Scholarship Fund

Hi, my name is Christl DeNiro and I am raising funds to start a scholarship in memory of my student Patrick who passed away on July 7, 2023, from a congenital medical condition. Patrick was in the Hospitality Job Training program which is designed for students with special needs. He was an absolute joy to have in class and always had a big smile and an upbeat attitude. Patrick had a great laugh and a sarcastic sense of humor which he regularly used to joke around with me and his classmates as we worked in the kitchen to prepare baked goods for our student-operated school Cafe'. Patrick had a great work ethic and was always willing to challenge himself and try new things. I was continually amazed at how consistently his skills improved and enjoyed working side-by-side with him on more challenging projects. Patrick was a remarkable young man who impacted me as a teacher by proving that tenacity and a positive attitude can overcome anything! I was privileged to know him and he will forever remain in my heart. I would like to honor Patrick's memory by creating a scholarship fund in his name to benefit students with special needs who wish to further their education.
