Patrick Henry's Leatherwood Home
Donation protected
The Virginia SAR is raising funds to locate and mark the site of Patrick Henry's Leatherwood home in Henry County, VA, named for Patrick Henry in 1777. This is the only unexplored residential site associated with Founding Father Patrick Henry. He lived here during the Revolutionary War after his three terms as Virginia's first Governor. He owned the land for 20 years until his death in 1799. Please help us preserve this special place in our nation's founding history!
