Patrick Hildebrand Jr.: Fire Hero Needs Help
Donation protected
My name is Alisa Ruby Bash. My family and I, like a lot of people in our area, lost our homes and all of our possessions in the fire in Pacific Palisades. It’s been incredibly hard, but we will be OK. Hopefully, our insurance comes through like they sounded like they would. However, not everyone is as lucky. This GoFundMe is for my best friend, Patrick Hildebrand Jr.
He sacrificed his own safety, put himself in harm's way, and was a true hero in this fire for not only myself but many others that needed help in the Pacific Palisades fire. He took matters into his own hands when no firetrucks came to our neighborhood during this fire. He stood there with a hose, trying to save my home and my belongings as long as he could, until his shoes melted from the flames. He helped to save my cat, and broke a window to get a few essentials for us as the flames engulfed my home.
He also tried to save my neighbor’s homes and went on his motorcycle to rescue old people who were trapped in their homes. He also tried to help people who had to walk from their homes and abandon their cars, and take them to safety. He helped the police when they couldn’t even get into an area in their car. Throughout this selfless act, he himself lost everything that he has. He and his father’s business of 50 years, Amazing Music, burned to the ground. They lost all of their instruments, musical equipment, and years of memories. And he also lost his brand new electric bike and electric motorcycle business, called Surron by the Sea. All of his worldly possessions burned to the ground, including all of his own recorded music, PA’s, amps, instruments, on top of everything else he owned. And, I don’t think they have insurance that will come through right now. I am trying to raise funds for him to at least be able to purchase a mobile repair van so he can continue his business, and help others with their bikes and electric motorcycles, and try to regain an income.
He was interviewed by the news as a hero, and he is. There is no end in sight to this tragedy for so many of us. But I would love to help this one person who has always helped my family and me and everybody else.
