Patrick is strong and focusing on the GOOD

Patrick is the the youngest of the seven Byrne siblings. He easily has the best sense of humor of all of us. Though he is the youngest, he often acts as Switzerland and stays neutral in family disagreements. He is the most dedicated Dad to his 2 young girls, Molly and Maggie. Patrick has always been hard working and makes every effort to provide for his family...... but recently that has become very difficult.

 

Many of you may not be aware that our brother, (Dad, nephew, friend ) Patrick Byrne has been diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of cancer. His diagnosis was delivered just before Thanksgiving and came as a complete shock to all of us. Patrick is currently receiving treatment at MGH, including a 12 hour surgery that he underwent less than 2 weeks ago. He is recovering nicely but has a very long road ahead.

 

Patrick has always had trouble asking for help from others ....... but he has not been able to work since before Thanksgiving and the financial burden is beginning to take its toll, and I am afraid it will hinder his recovery. His family is active in his care and helping in any way we can but I am now hoping his community would also be willing to help.

 

Funds would be used to help defer the cost of medical expenses, medications, treatments, as well as caring for his 2 children. If you are able to make a financial contribution to this GoFund we are extremely grateful, but we know that not everyone is in a position to help in this way. We ask that you keep Patrick and his family in your prayers, and if you have a chance to send Patrick a quick note or a well wish I am sure that would lift his spirits.
