Patrick Van Kirk Scholarship

On Saturday March 11th of 2023, we lost a brother, best friend, and everything in between. Our condolences go out most to those who lost a family member.

Patrick was a Junior at West Virginia University who was majoring in Agricultural Resource Management. He took his studies very seriously and you rarely caught him walking around the house without a computer in his hand attending to his schoolwork. One of Patrick’s favorite things was to learn, and he made it his mission to do this every day. His genuine curiosity for anything and everything is just a small part of what made being around him so amazing. There was never a day you could walk into his room and find him alone; you would be lucky to get a seat in there because he was the kind of person everyone always wanted to be around. His sense of humor, generosity, and charisma was unmatched and will be forever missed. He had a lasting impact and positive influence on countless lives and was loved by all.

Patrick Van Kirk was a beloved friend and brother of our fraternity now known as Phi Kappa Tau. Patrick was well-known and had a lasting impact on all of the people he got to know in Morgantown. He also set a great example for all of his friends and was widely looked up to by younger members of our organization.

Patrick loved to help people, so it is only right for us to help him continue to do that by establishing a scholarship in his name at West Virginia University. This scholarship is a great way to honor the large impact Patrick had on the lives of all of us and help provide future students with the resources they need to thrive during their higher education journey.
