Patrick McGloin Memorial Fund
Donation protected
It is with profound sadness that we mourn the sudden passing of Patrick McGloin on Friday, February 16, 2018, just 3 days shy of his 55th birthday.
As you can imagine the devastating grief that his family is facing, the financial burden of his loss is also a crushing blow. Because of his heart surgery 14 years ago, Patrick was unable to secure life insurance to provide for his family in the event of his early passing.
Those who knew and loved Patrick knew of his dedication and love for his wife Renee and their 11 year old daughter Samantha.
Samantha is a precocious and bright young girl with many talents and interests. She plays lacrosse and field hockey and has an insatiable thirst for learning. After school she attends Village East School for the Gifted, a program designed to give greater challenge and enrichment to kids who excel academically. Samantha also volunteers to help the homeless.
As she adjusts to life without her dad, Renee would like to be able to keep Samantha in her extracurricular activities that made her father so proud, but that which after losing his salary will be impossible without some help from family and friends.
As a close friend and neighbot of Renee and Patrick's, to honor Patrick's memory, in lieu of flowersI've set up this memorial fund to help with some of Samantha’s expenses, such as her hockey, lacrosse, fencing and her Village East program.
Every donation is greatly appreciated and will be a tribute to a great friend who left us too soon. Anything raised above that goal will go toward Samantha's college education.
Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity to Samantha.
