Melody's husband Vic has been diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer that has metastasized to his liver and bones. He has been in the hospital for the last several weeks. During this time, Melody has struggled to be by Vic's side every moment while still having to work. That's where we come in !
Melody is the " unofficial " leader of Capital District patriots.
She has led way to freedom through her radio show. She has been a voice and advocate for our Veterans for many years. She has led Patriot Flights and fundraisers. She organizes Christmas Cards for our Troops, where hundreds of thousands of cards get sent overseas every year to support our active duty military. Perhaps her greatest achievement is the sucess of the Veterans Miracle Center, which continues to help hundreds of veterans each year with food/clothing/housing needs.
Vic has always been in the background supporting Melody.
As if all this wasn't enough both Melody and Vic are active members of the Selkirk Fire Department.
They are both a one-of-a-kind Patriots and now it's our turn to give back.
We have created this GoFundMe page to help Melody and Vic financially through this difficult journey. They have given so much of their time, energy, love and support to the community for so many years, we feel blessed to be able to give back in some way.
