Pats Leukemia Story

Donation protected
Hi everyone. My name is Renee Conklin, as a Paramedic I help people on a regular basis, however on June 30th I wasn’t even able to help my own mother. My mom’s name is Patricia Hubbard. On the night of June 30th, she went to a local ER for severe hip and back pain. After a full body CT scan, it was determined that Mom was suspicious for cancer, but unknown what type. They gave her an appt with a primary doctor two months from that night. Out of desperation, I called several cancer centers. By the grace of God, her case was accepted by Cancer Treatment Centers of America near Chicago IL. Mom’s platelets were too low to fly, so we made a 12 hour drive over two days, this due to her incredible pain. After being at CCTA for over a week now, we received the news that Mom has Leukemia. Mom also shows signs of thyroid cancer. The hospital has a nice hotel, however there is still a nightly rate to pay. The doctor said eventually she can take her medicine home, however she will be here for possibly up to a couple months due to surgeries for the other cancers, and starting chemotherapy. I am asking if you would please consider donating to help with the travel, food, hotel, and some medical fees. Mom only has Medicare, so Dad will be responsible for 20 percent of all medical bills. We know we are in Gods Hands, but Mom and Dad are on a tight fixed income, and any help would be appreciated. Thank you for considering our cause!
