Patty Neff’s Recovery
Donation protected
To our Friends and Family,
As most of you may know, July has been extremely difficult for my family.
On Friday July 6, I received a call from my brother, Stewart, explaining that our mom had become unresponsive after a terrible headache that evening. He called 911 and the paramedics were taking her to the hospital by ambulance (we believed her to be having a stroke at the time). The hospital performed an MRI and discovered there was a very large mass on her brain.
She was immediately transported to the neurology hospital in Lubbock, TX where we awaited answers.
The neurologists discovered a tumor roughly the size of a lime behind her right eye causing severe swelling on her brain, and was pushing against her carotid artery. The neurologist said the tumor must be removed immediately or she would not be alive this time next month.
This tumor was the answer to the daily headaches, changes in behavior, and overall differences that had been present with my mom.
Over the next week she had 3 procedures done. The third being the six hour long cranial surgery which ultimately removed the meningioma that had been growing for years. The tumor was non-cancerous, thank God.
Patty has been doing amazing since the surgery and is currently at home working on her recovery
She has been a self-employed hair dresser for the past 30+years and will not be able to work/drive for possibly 2-3 months while her brain heals and returns to it’s proper position.
My brother and I are asking for help with her general monthly expenses such as rent, utilities, and other expenses including numerous upcoming trips to the neurologist in Lubbock.
Those who know Patty Neff, know that she is one of the most genuine, caring and all around amazing people you will ever meet. She has given so much in her life to ensure my brother and I were safe and take care of. Now it’s our turn to do the same for her.
We would like to thank our friends and family for all of their help, kind words, thoughts and prayers. We would also like to thank the excellent medical staff who took such great care of Patty.

Thank you and God bless,
Stephanie and Stewart Neff
