Patty on her cancer journey

Hi everyone!

First, let me say a big thank you to anyone and everyone who helps support this angel on her journey. Secondly, if you are here that means you care deeply about my Aunt, Aunt Patty.

If you know her, you know she would drop everything to help a loved one, let alone help out a complete stranger when necessary. She is the definition of someone who has unconditional love for others, for the most part. As many of you now know, she was recently diagnosed with stage 4 cancer, to which we do not know the type yet. She will need more testing to gain definitive answers. Her Oncologist said that normally, in similar cases she would have a timeline of 1-2 more years with us, this is not the case. This cancer is much more aggressive than they anticipated. Already with invasive tumors in her liver, spleen and stomach we found that she has many enlarged lymph nodes which the doctors are concerned with, hence the Brain MRI and PET scan happening soon. She is starting chemo pills this week and will be starting IV Chemo 5/18. These chemo appointments will be no short of 4 hours, with a 2 hours drive there and back.

These will be long, long days. She will need every ounce of support we can give her.
