Patty Recovery

Hello, my name is Paula I am creating this gofundme in hopes to get help in this unexpected journey that my sister-in-law is currently going through. She had to go to the hospital due to having excoriating pains. Turned out those pains were due to complications of a strangulated hernia. Brattleboro Memorial Hospital tried to fix it but when closing her back up they did not do it correctly. The fluids from her intestines were still leaking out causing her to be septic. She was life flighted to Dartmouth. Dartmouth had to reopen her up in order to cut more of her intestine off that was bad. They decided to keep her open so that they wouldn’t have to keep reopening her up. Patty has had 11 surgeries and was in ICU in critical condition for 21 days since this has been going on. The doctors at Dartmouth are calling her a miracle. Patty is not giving up this fight. In order to go home Patty needs railings to be able to go up into her house and an adjustable bed due to when coming home she is coming home opened still. She will have to remain open until 6 months to a year. She will also need materials for taking care of her open wound. Patty has a son, a mother and a husband that travels back and forth to Dartmouth and needs help with gas. If you know Patty, you know she is a loving and caring soul that would help anyone when she can and is a listening ear when needed.
