Paul Askins and family.

On June 2, 2022 Paul lost his job of 13 years when his boss and dear friend was killed in a car accident and the business shut down. He has been doing the odd job here and there. We have already gone through our savings.

Then on September 13, 2022 Paul suffered a stroke that left him with some facial paralysis.Surgery was scheduled for September 21. He got to come home to await surgery. On the morning of September 18 he had another stroke and I rushed him back to the hospital. This time with the facial paralysis he also lost feeling and control of his right hand. He spent some time in CCU and did have his surgery. Surgeon said it was a nasty block in the left artery in his neck.

He’s home recovering now. But will not be able to work for some time. The only money we have coming in is my SSD. It not even enough to pay rent. Plus the utilities, car insurance, phones, and gas for the car so we can get him to all his appointments. We are working on getting him signed up for VA benefits, but we need help now. We are asking our community for that help.
