Paul "Chef Paul" Shockley Stephens

Paul Shockley Stephens (pictured on the far right above), or as brothers of Chi Phi knew him - "Chef Paul", passed away unexpectedly on December 22nd at the age of 21. (December 3, 2001 - December 22, 2022). Whether it was in the kitchen cooking or driving around the parking lot with his infamous giant red Ram truck, Chef Paul always enjoyed hanging out and talking with our brothers. Last year, Chef Paul was asked to be Chi Phi's head chef, despite being the young age of 20. He accepted without hesitation. Paul was a great cook and loved what he did. He often went out of his way - arriving at the house early to make specially requested meals that never disappointed. His love and appreciation for Chi Phi existed beyond the kitchen. Paul helped the brothers buy bulk orders of tin foil for the annual Halloween party, and always enjoyed the stories shared during lunch and dinner. Chef Paul will be dearly missed.

On behalf of the Chi Phi ETA chapter, the brothers have come together to help raise money for the Shockley family for funeral costs and any other financial needs. No family wants to deal with this tragedy, especially during the holiday season, so any amount is greatly appreciated.

Paul's funeral will be on December 31st - more information will be shared as it becomes available.
