Thanks for visiting Paul’s memorial go fund me page. This message has been written on Kirsty’s (Paul’s daughter) behalf and we’re sorry to both be writing this and sharing this news with you all.
On Xmas eve, Paul’s family and friends received news of his passing. This is devastating news and even more saddening is the unexpected nature and unanswered questions about what has happened. Hopefully the answers will come soon to help the family get some peace.
Paul Derbyshire (Darbo) leaves behind his daughter Kirsty and his brother David. Paul was known for his love of Everton and his kind and friendly nature you’d often see him around town and he’d always be up to talk about Everton. He’d give up his right arm to make anyone happy especially his daughter.
Unfortunately, due to the sudden nature of what has happened, there are no finances in place to make arrangements for saying goodbye. His next to kin is his 24 year old daughter Kirsty who is currently in no state to make arrangements or get the finances together. It’s a big ask for anyone to do this but an incredibly awful situation for Kirsty, his only child. Family members have offered support in making arrangements but Kirsty wants to take ownership as her final opportunity to do her dad proud.
In the UK, the average cost of a funeral is £4,706 but, as a xx yo girl, Kirsty simply doesn’t have this kind of money. Sadly, I’m not sure many of us would.
With some resistance, we have managed to encourage Kirsty to set up a go fund me page to help make some inroads into paying for the basic arrangements plus wake (if possible). Please don’t feel obliged to support but anything you can put forward will be much appreciated by Kirsty and the family and will take the pressure off in the next few weeks.
Thank you for reading and for showing your support to Paul, Kirsty and his loved ones. If you do see any of them, give them a big hug xx
