Paul Eady Cancer Surgery

Hi. Many of you know Paul Eady who worked for Food 4 and, more recently, Europ Foods and may be aware that he was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer to the peritoneal cavity (abdomen and pelvis) called Pseudomyxoma Pertinonei in 2016. He has had two operations in Valencia to remove multiple tumours on his spleen, gall bladder and part of his colon but still has residual tumours that are causing him issues. These operations were using the Spanish Health system and his SIP card but they are unable to offer anymore surgery. He has tried to work as much as possible during this and is always happy and smiling. Everyone who meets him is drawn to his fabulous personality and lovely smile.
You may not be aware though that Paul contracted Bacterial Meningitis back in February which caused swelling of his brain and he just did not wake up one morning! He was in a coma for 12 days and, once he woke up, he had to learn to walk and talk again and, although he has almost recovered, there are still some issues he has to deal with following this making things difficult for him. Paul has been off sick since February and on basic sick pay.
When he joined Europ Foods he was added to their health insurance which enabled him to see a private specialist in Madrid, as doctors in Valencia could no longer help, for this incredibly rare cancer (1 in a million cases) and after various tests and examinations, they believe that they can remove the remaining tumours. Paul would need both CRS (cytoreductive surgery) and HIPEC (hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy). His insurance will pay for the CRS plus the hospital stay but Paul needs to fund the HIPEC and any other costs incurred himself. These operations could give Paul the chance of removing the remaining tumours. He has only been on basic sick pay since February of this year any money he has is being used on mortgage, bills and general cost of living.
I know that life is tough for all of us at the moment with rising costs but, even the smallest amount adds up and those of us who know and love Paul would be so so very grateful.
And for Paul himself, this could save his life!!
