Support the Elmstrand-Castruita Family
Donation protected
The Cambridge-Isanti community is deeply saddened by the loss of our classmate and 2015 Class President, Paul Elmstrand. After attending CIHS, Paul went on to the University of Northwestern, St. Paul, where he continued to have a positive impact on the lives of those around him. In 2018, Paul married the love of his life, Cindy, whom he had been enamored with since they were in grade school. Paul became a police officer with the City of Burnsville in 2019 where he excelled as an officer, partner, and friend. Paul, along with his partners, selflessly made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty, putting himself in harm's way to protect innocent lives. Paul is survived by his wife, Cindy, daughter Maria (2), and son Mateo (5 months).
While there are no words or actions to comfort the grief felt by many at this time, CIHS 2015 has set up a GoFundMe to help with any financial needs the Elmstrand-Castruita family may have in the future. All money raised will be directly given to the family. Thank you for donating!
Rest in peace, Paul. You will be missed.

NOTE (2/19): For the best interest of the family, the CIHS Class of 2015 has turned this account over to a close family friend, who is in contact with the family, law enforcement, and Cambridge-Isanti/Burnsville communities. The GoFundMe page will be updated to best serve the family's needs and wishes. All past and future donations will still be given directly to the Elmstrand-Castruita family.
