Paul Hauser’s Cancer Battle
Donation protected
Family and friends we are saddened to share the news that our loving father, Paul Hauser, has been diagnosed with Stage 4 Renal Cell Carcinoma (RCC). This is an aggressive cancer that was located a very short time ago.
Paul suffered a minor knee injury back in the Fall which prompted what was believed to be routine orthopedic appointments. From those appointments an MRI was ordered and to everyone’s surprise, a large tumor was located inside Paul’s bone around his knee/tibia area. From that time Paul has undergone multiple scans. A large tumor in his kidney was discovered which also spread to nearby lymph nodes.
Paul underwent a major knee surgery earlier this week (3/6) to remove the tumor in his bone. Thankfully, the surgery went well and the doctor was able to remove 99% of the cancer. Paul still is in the hospital recovering at this time.
The next steps in this journey are unknown until Paul can meet with his urologist to develop a plan and best course of action on how to address the tumor in his kidney and lymph nodes.
Many church members, co-workers, and other supports have expressed their interest in donating to Paul and family during this time therefore a family decision was made for this page to be created to assist Paul along way.
Prayers for peace, comfort, strength, and healing are at the highest request but anyone who feels compelled to do so may donate to assist with medical costs and ongoing needs as Paul continues through this journey.
We are all completely shaken by this diagnosis and are clinging to one another for support during this difficult season. We are endlessly thankful for every single prayer, well wishes, and any act of support no matter how small.
The love that has been shown to Paul thus far is truly overwhelming and it is no secret that he is a well loved person!
We thank you again for any level of support during this time.
