Paul & Julie Zell Care and Recovery

Our dear friend Paul Zell had a bad encounter with a van on 11/5 on the All-British Ride, leaving Bodega Bay. He put his Velo into the side of a van. From what was seen of the van at the scene, the guy must have pulled out from a side street in front of him. What is said by those that saw the moto is it‘s pretty much wadded up.

He’s in the ICU at Santa Rosa Memorial hospital, under sedation. The doc we spoke to last night told us he is expected to be there for about four weeks. He’ll be kept under sedation until all the broken bone repair surgeries (there will be several) are over with.

Right now, the focus is trying to line up assistance for Julie.
