Paul Linger
Donation protected
Ex-Charlton, Orient and Brighton player Paul Linger, whose career was cut short by a broken leg long before young footballers made any money, has recently been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Having initially been told it was terminal, a second opinion has provided unexpected hope - but the window to operate is small and thus only doing so privately this weekend will allow him to live on.
The PFA have made a considerable donation as have family and friends. But the cost (in excess of £50k) is huge and thus, on his behalf, we're turning to you, the greater good, to make up the balance.
Doing so will save a life and will ensure his two boys grow up with their father. Every bit helps.
Please help in anyway you can.
