In Memory of Paul McCoy

There is no doubt that those who knew Paul McCoy are taking in the news of his passing with a heavy heart. Paul McCoy was a cherished instructor, father, mentor, and friend. There are only so many words one can create when there is an unexpected passing. It is difficult to process, let alone learn to accept the great loss of someone so invested in giving back to the world. Paul McCoy will live on through all of his lessons. His kindness, generosity, humor, and love was unconditional. The advice he had to give to all of his students, friends, families, and additional counterparts are words that will be cherished forever. Although he may not be physically with us, I hope all who knew him can feel his presence in our minds and in our hearts. His devotion to his faith was beautiful and admirable.

Let us please remind ourselves of the beautiful family whom remains on Earth with us. His wife and daughter, Anne and Barbara McCoy are two of the most important people to Paul. I encourage you to support them as they grieve the loss of their hero.

It doesn’t have to be a financial donation. If anything, a memory, or however you choose to celebrate the life of Paul McCoy is enough to come together at this time. If there was anything that Mr. Paul McCoy loved in this world it was the ability to build a community, and the people he loved the most coming together to celebrate the lives, achievements, and successes of others. At the end of the day, it was always service for Paul; it was always giving back FOR the people. His values in his community-building and the impact he had on those he came in contact with are ones that we will all cherish forever.
