Paul McGettigan & Family During Cancer Treatment

Paul McGettigan is a local father who graduated from Monsignor Bonner and is an active member of St. Bernadette's parish. Throughout his life, he has become a master plumber, devoted husband to Teresa (Meehan) and amazing father to his 3 children (Julianna, Paul Jr & Molly). Recently, he has been diagnosed with a rare form of Sinus Cancer and is just entering the beginning stage of immense treatments.

Unfortunately, it is not the first time that a cancer diagnosis has struck this family. 6 years ago, Teresa was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. He was a pillar of strength, not only for her but their young children during this time. After an extremely difficult journey, Teresa is fortunately in remission and doing well.

Paul has always had a love of sports, both professionally and locally. If you could not find him at home in the kitchen, you would find him at Dermond Field in the dugout coaching.

Coming from a family of 11 children, things weren’t always easy but you could always count on Paul to lighten the mood. Some of his favorite tactics included singing an old song or telling a dumb joke. (Ex: Guess who I saw today? … Everyone I looked at.) But in all seriousness, he’d help anyone in need never expecting anything in return. With that said, on his behalf, we are asking for help during this difficult and uncertain time ahead.

As the main source of income for his family, they will be experiencing financial hardship between loss of earnings, copays, treatment and daily living expenses. We hope to help ease their concerns and focus on healing. Please do not feel obligated to donate; however, no amount is too small.
