Paul “ Sammy” McGrath’s memorial
Donation protected
On October 20th, 2021, we were told of the loss of our beloved coworker in the blue line family, Paul (Sammy) McGrath.
At the age of 60, Pauls life was tragically taken. He leaves a void in our centre and lives that can never be replaced, and was loved by many friends and coworkers alike.
Paul took pride in being a good husband to Tania, and was a selfless friend, step father, son, brother, and uncle.
He also took pride in his work, being a valued employee of the Calgary correctional centre, for nearly 15 years.
Anyone who knew Paul in any capacity knew that he had the best sense of humour, the most vibrant and infectious personality, cared deeply for others, and had a zest for life that was unmatched. There is seriously no character like this man!
There has been an outpouring of sympathies from the many people whose lives were touched by Paul. We kindly ask that if you would like to support costs of the funeral arrangements/celebration of life, estate, travel expenses for Tania to bring him home to Halifax/UK, to please donate to this GoFundMe page.
Thank you so much for your time, sympathies and respect for the Mcgrath family/friends as we grieve this sudden and tragic loss of our loved one.
