"Support Black and Brown Boys in the 21st Century!"......... Paul Robeson Institute Trip to Washington DC to the National Museum of African American History and Culture and the National Air and Space Museum
Your pledge will support continued programming of the Paul Robeson Institute for Positive Self- Development, (PRI) as well as a life-changing trip to Washington DC for 30 young men by the Fall of 2019.
Concerned Black Men of Massachusetts (CBMM ) is collaborating with BlackFacts.com to launch a GoFundMe campaign seeking the support of $35,000 for two important initiatives:
Phase 1: Seeking $15,000 for Learning Excursion to Washington DC
Through your contribution, CBMM will be taking our PRI students on a life-changing educational and empowering trip to Washington DC where they will learn more of their history, technology, and science.
Phase 2: Seeking $20,000 Investment Round:
PRI relies on the support of the local and national community to fund annual programming in Boston. We are also seeking funding for our programming which includes local field trips, meals, general administration costs.
It is our hope that you will consider making a financial contribution for the trip and annual programming expenses.
About The Paul Robeson Institute (PRI) for Positive Self Development
The Paul Robeson Institute for Positive Self Development educates young men of color, in grades 3rd– 12th, in the areas of accountability, personal goal setting, leadership development, and STEAM education (Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts, and Mathematics) in Boston MA. The program is designed to inspire youth to become leaders through a process of identification of personal dreams or goals, and on how to systematically build an action plan that will leverage resources to support the overarching goal of improving the quality of life in the black community by reaffirming the viability of the black male. For nearly 30 years, PRI has educated and mentored over 1,000 young men of color.

Founded in April 1989, our mission is to provide a CBMM is dedicated to asserting the Black male’s importance to the perpetuation of family and community cohesiveness through education, social and cultural principles, and economic interdependence. The PRI institute educates and mentors young men from the ages of 7-17 based on the Seven Principles of the Nguzo Saba.
