As you may know, Pauletta Hollister lost her battle to cancer on Feb 1st, 2021.
Pauletta was diagnosed (for the 2nd time) with breast cancer in June of 2019. Fighting every step of the way, Pauletta endured over 11 different types of chemotherapy and 2 cyber knife treatments (a type of brain radiation which was necessary when the cancer significantly progressed). Many in her position may not have chosen to undergo such a difficult fight, but Pauletta was determined to make it for the sake of her children.
Not only was Pauletta a single mother, she was a foster mom for decades- as she always said before accepting another child, "if I have room in my home and my heart, why wouldn't I." The fight to heal Pauletta would not have been possible without her oldest daughter Danielle by her side.
When Danielle heard her Mom's cancer was back, she sold her business in California and moved to Texas to care for her mom and 3 younger siblings. Danielle managed to juggle her responsibilities caring for her mother and siblings, while also struggling to maintain her clientele in California, making trips back and forth as often as possible. Among the many responsibilities she took on was a weekly 200 mile round-trip drive to the Dallas hospital where more treatment options were available for Pauletta. Despite the year and half battle, Pauletta's passing was indeed unexpected, as only a month before Pauletta's passing Danielle was taking her mom to receive radiation on her brain in hope of prolonging her life "a few more years".
Within that month, an aching Pauletta struggled to get all her affairs in order. Danielle agreed to become the legal guardian of her 3 younger siblings and her mom did her best to prepare her for that role. Although Pauletta was able to create a Will to provide for her minor children, Texas law mandates a probate period that can take 3 to 6 months to complete, during which access to all her estate's funds are frozen.
Danielle is now in need of funds to sort out all of Pauletta's affairs including legal fees, the mortgage, and the kids daily needs. At a time when most of us would be in the midst of grieving, Danielle is doing her best to provided for her siblings by promptly returning to California to work.
Please help Pauletta's family during this difficult time by donating whatever amount is feasible

.
Thank you!
