My name is Luke Wedmore and I have started this to allow people who may not be able to join us to celebrate Mum's life to be able to do donate to a cause that mum believed so strongly in.

Mum was a retired primary school teacher who was passionate about education. On the 04.07.23 she was diagnosed with stage 2 pancreatic cancer and had her recovery journey mapped out with chemo to start on the 25.07.23.

She had her first round of chemo and was feeling good but after a week she was back in hospital suffering from complications that eventually took her from us on the morning of 04.08.23.

As previously mentioned, my mother had a strong love of children and nurturing their growth through education. So in saying that I don't think there is a more fitting charity to raise funds for than the Starlight Children's Foundation Australia.
