It is with profound sadness that we share the news of Paul Pleticha’s passing. For those of you who knew Paul, you knew his kind smile and willingness to give you the shirt off his back if you needed help. He had a passionate love for his family – and especially his sons, Paulie III and Angelo. Paul was a loved father, son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend to more people than we can count. He also loved being a coach and helping young people to achieve their goals and dreams.
Paul had been dealing with health issues but his loss came unexpectedly. As you would expect, he fought hard every moment, but doctors were unable to bring him back and he passed peacefully, surrounded by family and friends who loved him very much.
Paul’s sons have had to deal with decisions that no child should have to consider with a parent who was only 51. Not only are they planning for a funeral, but Paul was also committed to paying for them both to have an education to achieve their dreams.
We are asking all those who cared so much for Paul to help him fulfill that dream. You can make a difference by contributing to help support funeral expenses and to help his boys as they try to move through this traumatic time.
Your support is certainly appreciated, but, more importantly, we are grateful to know that Paul had so many people who cared about him and have been touched by his kindness. They say that the truest measure of success is leaving a place better for your having been there. By that definition, Paul’s short life was a tremendous success – and one that will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
Funeral services information to follow in the upcoming days.
