Paulina's Journey To Law School

Hello everyone,

I am assisting my friend, Paulina, by organizing this Gofundme to help her with upcoming law school expenses. Here's some background about Paulina for those who do not know her personally.

Paulina Ruiz, a future Latina lawyer, is currently fundraising to cover her expenses for Southwestern Law School. Paulina’s dream for many years has been to go to law school and obtain a Juris Doctor degree. She is going to start her journey this upcoming fall and is seeking financial support. Please consider supporting her dream. Paulina deserves to pursue law school for many reasons.

Paulina has made a positive impact in her community and has inspired many people to do the same. She has helped many community members become aware of their rights as immigrants, including access to healthcare. Paulina also has a vested interest in immigration reform and has participated in a variety of advocacy activities, including a trip to Washington DC to lobby for immigrants’ rights, protests to support DACA, and phonebanking to educate registered voters about propositions that benefit the community.

As a first-generation student and DACA recipient, Paulina needs her community’s support to cover expenses that will not be covered by the financial aid package offered to her. She has dedicated her life to helping the community move forward, and it’s time to do the same for her. The funds will be used exclusively to pay for tuition and other necessities.

Paulina did phonebanking for over 2 years to advocate for the immigrant community. She spoke with registered voters throughout many states regarding political candidates, propositions, and issues affecting the immigrant community.

Paulina has participated in rallies for various causes. In 2017, Paulina attended a rally in Washington D.C. to encourage legislators to support the Dream Act with other immigrant advocates.
