Pauline Heaven

Thank you for your interest in our film, Pauline Heaven.

Written/directed by Matt Lulu, the film takes place across one winter morning: the start of the day for two, and the end of a day for another.

The two are married musicians preparing for a local performance - her a soprano (played by Olive Murray, pictured, a recital and oratorio soloist who has performed at venues including the Queen Elizabeth Hall and Barbican Hall), him a pianist (played by Christopher Foreman, organist and choirmaster at St Paul’s, Winchmore Hill). The other is a younger woman played by shining actress Anna Brown. Supported and stretched by the sound of experimental musician samuel RD (check out Sam’s Oct-23 horror soundscape here), the film asks where on Earth we get our energy from.

Producing is Daragh McCann, who has over two years of experience in Film and Video Production across various media forms, as both a freelancer and in-house. Cutting his teeth on music videos, he has produced for artists such as Bimini Bon Boulash and Saint Levant, and has worked on various short film projects both independently backed as well as BFI/Film 4 projects. He has worked with directors including Dora Paphides + Harv Frost, Rhys Jones and Samuel Douek. From Daragh: ‘Out of our friendship and the friendships that form this film, I see this project not only as a catalyst for the sparkling talent of my peers who I'm fortunate enough to call friends, but a chance to reiterate how spontaneity is sexy and champion the values I hold dear in this life. Chance! Touch! The Human Voice! It's going to be a ride.’

The money generously donated by yourself will be allocated to paying crew fairly for their time, locations, props, costume, camera and lighting kit hire, sound design and recording kit, catering for crew, cast, extras and contributors, as well as post production and submission fees for festivals.
