I never thought I’d be doing something like this, at least not too soon. My name is Kathy Cabrera Catarino and unfortunately my father left three kids behind. He was once a loving husband, always a great father, and true friend. Our father passed away September 21st, 2023. He died of cirrhosis of his liver and pneumonia. Before his difficult times like he would say, he was a hard working father and we never went hungry because of how he strived to work for his family. He was a kitchen coordinator at Maggianos Little Italy, worked for Cheesecake Factory, Wildfire, Dogfish Head Alehouse, Great American Restaurants, Founding Farmers and among a few other more. His passion for the kitchen was impeccable at all standards despite his mental and health issues. My two younger siblings and I (Jose 18 and David 14) are asking those who knew him to please share this and any help no matter how small or big is all a contribution to my father’s memorial service. Our dad was a hard working man despite his errors and he was always there for us three until his last breathe. We appreciate you all.

Nunca pensé que haría algo así, al menos no demasiado pronto. Mi nombre es Kathy Cabrera Catarino y, desafortunadamente, mi padre dejó atrás a 3 hijos. Una vez fue un marido amoroso, siempre un gran padre y un verdadero amigo. Nuestro padre falleció el 21 de septiembre. Murió de cirrosis hepática y neumonía. Antes de sus momentos difíciles, era un padre trabajador y nunca pasamos hambre debido a cómo se esforzaba por trabajar para su familia. Fue coordinador de cocina en Maggianos Little Italy, trabajó para Cheesecake Factory, Wildfire, Dogfish Head Alehouse, Great American Restaurants, Founding Farmers y entre muchos otros. Su pasión por la cocina era impecable en todos los estándares a pesar de sus problemas mentales y de salud. Mis dos hermanos menores y yo (José 18 y David 14) estamos pidiendo a aquellos que lo conocieron que por favor compartan esto y cualquier ayuda, sin importar que pequeña o grande sea, es una contribución al servicio conmemorativo de mi padre. Nuestro padre era un hombre trabajador a pesar de sus errores nuestro papa siempre estuvo ahí para nosotros tres hasta su último aliento. Les agradecemos a todos.
