Paul's Open Heart Surgery - Aneurysm & Valve

Hi, my name is Anita. I'm fundraising for our son-in-law, Paul Gasper, our daughter, Ashley, and our 3-year-old grandson, Brayden. Paul has been diagnosed with a large Ascending Aortic Aneurysm that encompasses the entire diameter of the artery. Also, the heart valve just below the aneurysm is leaking and must be replaced with a mechanical one. (Likely the cause of the aneurysm.) This open heart surgery is very serious. It will be a 6-8 hour surgery followed by a few days in IUC, then about a week in the hospital. Once released, he will be off work for about 3 months to recover. During that time, Paul's income will be cut almost in half. He is the only source of income. Ashley is a stay-at-home mom caring for Brayden. She will be needed at home to care for Paul as he recovers so getting a job is not an option.
