Paul's Medical Care
Donation protected
3 weeks ago, my husband woke up on a Friday morning throwing up. I thought it was due to eating late the night before, so I gave him some nausea meds and went to work. (I work 6 to 7 days per week just to keep us afloat and Paul is the one who drives me.)
The next thing I know, I’m called to the hospital in Longview. I get there only to be told that my husband's kidneys were at 20%. The hospital kept him two days and then the doctor comes in and tells me that my husband is very sick, to notify family, and that there is no more they can do for him except pray.
I demanded he be taken to SWWMC in Vancouver, so they transferred him there. By this time his kidneys were at 3% and by the next morning my husband was in full renal failure! After a couple of surgeries, we were told his kidneys were completely dead and he would need dialysis 3 to 4 days a week.
Since I’m a CNA, they are training me to do his dialysis at home. In the meantime it takes 4 to 6 weeks to get training for this and we have to stay in Vancouver until it’s done. Now I can’t work until this is over and I desperately need help financially! The food he can have is so expensive and I don’t know what to do about this month's bills to get us through. I've checked with all of the agencies and they say I make too much, even though I can't work right now.
My husband is my world and I'm doing all I can for him.
Thank you so much for your time, for your prayers, and if you can offer any assistance, our family would greatly appreciate it. God bless you!
