Maui Wildfire Relief Bumanglag Family

Thank you for taking the time to visit and read this! First and foremost, I’ve started this fundraiser with my family’s permission. I wanted to help lessen their worries following the events of Maui wildfires. This will help with getting my family necessities like food, water, medicine, and clothes for immediate relief, as well as rebuilding our home.

On August 8th, my family and many other families from my hometown of Lahaina, Maui, Hawaii, experienced the brutal wild fires during hurricane Dora. My family has lost our home, the home that we have been in for almost 25 years! Many others have lost their home and most of our hometown is now in ashes. If you’ve seen videos and pictures of the aftermath, you’ll understand how devastating all of this has been. It seems so unreal, but it’s very much a reality for my family and everyone else affected.

I am currently in Las Vegas and being away from my family during this time has been nothing but difficult. Thankfully, everyone was able to safely escape the chaos, my parents, siblings and nephews are all safe! My family and I appreciate your kindness and generosity!

UPDATE 8/15/23:

The amount of love and support that my family has received thus far has been so heartwarming! I’ve been trying to do what I can from afar, to hopefully bring a little peace of mind to my family as they navigate through this disaster, by continuously sharing our GFM as well as connecting with others on the island to provide additional support and donation to my family. Although the initial goal has been reached, my family has requested to increase the goal as more and more people become aware of what is going on and with hopes to continue to put more towards future rebuilding. We are forever grateful and blessed with the love from our Hawaii community, and from many others around the world!
