Pavo's New Legs!

Some people reproduce. Other's adopt a baby that needs a loving home. Sometimes, those babies come covered in fur, and they become our family - our children. Meet Pavo, a jovial, kid-loving Pyrenees/Lab/Hound 2-year old boy, with guardian angels and challenging DNA. Angels brought Pavo and Wendy together because I believe his chances of living a long, happy life depended on who became his Mama, and trust me, if you're reincarnated into a puppy, you want Wendy as your parent!

 

Rescued at 3.5 months, Wendy didn't know about Pavo's future; she just saw the sweetest eyes, a big smile, and a soul that wanted a loving home. She noticed he hesitated to do normal actions, like climbing stairs, and over time, his long legs began to bow. This is painful.  Wendy never gives up on her children, and they always get the best food and care possible. Her fur babies are her best friend, and they go everywhere with her! Acupuncture, therapy, supplements, and now, the heaviest pain medication possible (which breaks her heart) are what's keeping him going. Pavo is such a happy boy, and he even has a tiny girlfriend, a little black Scottie - but he needs surgery to live out the rest of his life.

 

We are truly blessed to live by CSU vet school, and with amazing technology, they will utilize 3-D printing to ensure these surgeries go just as needed for Pavo. One leg at a time, he will heal and be hiking, medicine-free with Mama Wendy. I believe as a TEAM, Pavo can be a miracle doggy. With this organization, we can show Wendy and Pavo that taking care of our loved ones, no matter what they look like, is possible, and in the end, it isn't about the cost, it's the power of Love. This series of events will cost Wendy over $20,000.
