Paw-sative Vibes: Ayame's Recovery Fund

Hello, my name is Crystal, and this fundraising campaign is for my 16-year-old cat, Ayame. She's more than just a pet; she's a loved family member, a source of smiles, comfort, and endless purrs. Ayame is an incredibly affectionate and curious cat who has touched the hearts of many, from friends and family, to the vets trying to listen to her heart through her purr-sistent purring.

Recently, Ayame suffered a severely dislocated and fractured jaw. Thankfully, she has undergone a successful surgery at Penn Vet, one of the best animal hospitals in the country, to mend her injury. However, her journey to recovery is far from over. Post-surgery complications have affected her heart, liver, and kidneys, requiring her to stay in the ICU for further care.

Ayame's medical expenses have already totaled around $12,000, and with the additional ongoing care needed, it's estimated to rise by another $4,000-$6,000. This overwhelming cost has forced me to open multiple lines of credit just to ensure Ayame receives the care she needs.

Ayame is a fighter and she's shown her strength through every stage of this ordeal, remaining sweet, affectionate, and curious, and even chasing a fly across her hospital room in the midst of it all. This campaign aims to ensure she has every chance to fully recover and return to her favorite spot on the windowsill, where she loves to soak up the sun and get belly rubs.

I've been very fortunate to have Ayame in my life. I love how sweet and loving she is. I can't imagine her not being at home, greeting me with quck meows and loving purrs. Her situation has left me emotionally drained, but I am determined to do everything I can to support her in this fight.
