Pax Christi Pilgrimage for Peace

Donation protected

The Pilgrimage for Peace Fundraiser is now closed. Thank you to all our friends, supporters, and members for your extraordinary support.

Between International Conscientious Objectors Day (15 May) and the feast of Blessed Franz Jagerstatter (21 May) we invited Pax Christi members and friends to make their pilgrimage for peace.

By cycling, knitting, walking, campaigning, quizzing, growing, praying, and much else besides, our Pilgrims took part in a wonderful, positive, and creative action for peace. In doing so they have raised - including offline donations - around £15,000 for the valuable and vital work of Pax Christi. Thank you to everyone involved for your incredible witness to peace.

About Pax Christi
The work of Pax Christi – the Peace of Christ – is based on the gospel and inspired by faith. Our vision is of a world where people can live in peace, without fear of violence in any form. Pax Christi is rooted in Catholic Christianity but is open to all who share its values and work.

Pax Christi works for:
Peace – based on justice.  A world where human rights are respected, basic needs are met and people feel safe and valued in their communities.
Reconciliation – a process which begins when people try to mend relationships – between individuals or whole countries after times of violence or dispute.
Nonviolence – a way of living and making choices that  respects others, challenges what is not fair or just, and offers alternatives to violence and war.
