Cerebral Palsy man needs help with rent

Hi, my name is Teddy and I’m fundraising $5000 to help with back rent before I move into a lifelong agency. I’m a 43 year old man with Cerebral Palsy. I moved to California from Ohio in 2017 for better health care, housing, a home nurse, and the excellent team of doctors at Cedar Sinai since I’m bedridden with cerebral palsy, debilitating vertigo and a food port. 

Unfortunately being high risk in quarantine for over 2 years and 8 months, it’s been difficult & scary finding roommates and keeping myself safe. At the request of my home nurse and my landlord, I had to evict the last roommate for refusing to follow Covid rules for high risk patients. They endangered both me & my home nurse while also refusing to uphold their monthly financial commitments. Hence the backpay for rent that I cannot make up on my own. 

I was accepted in the interview process to a lifelong agency for cerebral palsy patients. They will give me housing and all the accommodations needed to help in the future. Unfortunately the agency will not be able to help pay for the backdated rent & until the enrollment process is complete I have to stay in this apartment.

This has caused so much fear and anxiety over the past year. Receiving help would prevent me from getting evicted and allow for the smooth transition into my forever home through the lifelong agency. Thank you everyone for your love and support anything helps.
