Pay for Heidi's cancer treatment

My wonderful, kind and strong sister (in law) Heidi was diagnosed in 2003 with a cancer called Multiple Myeloma (which is an incurable blood cancer that is difficult to treat), just days after celebrating her 1st wedding anniversary and when her young son, Rhys, was only 9 years old.
Since then she has been courageous in battle; the never ending chemo treatments and a serious infection in her leg a number of months ago, that still hasn't healed. To say that she has had a tough time is an understatement, and she has gone through it all with grace and a bravery that I find truly amazing.
Despite the chemotherapy treatments and two stem cell reinfusions the cancer has gone in and out of remission. However, now Heidi has an opportunity to try a brand new treatment for Multiple Myeloma called Darzalex. This drug has shown some promise in individuals who have tried other treatments without great success. Heidi's family hopes that this new treatment will make a significant positive impact on her cancer and hence her life. Ongoing chemo treatments are very hard on Heidi and it is hoped that this new treatment will be not as physically difficult for her, so that she can more actively participate in her life.
While Heidi's drug treatment will be paid for, the infusion for the drug is not covered. The cost of the infusion is $10, 000 and we hope to raise at least that much for her; any additional monies we might take in would be used to help pay for day to day expenses related to trips to the hospital for her treatments.
If you can afford to give a donation of $5, $10 or more, it would be greatly appreciated by those of us who love Heidi; every bit helps. Our hope is to raise the money by the end of March so that when Heidi can start her treatment she doesn't have to worry about where the funds to pay for it will come from.
