Pay it forward to John, he's in need of your help

Sharing an update on dad. As of today he is still on the vent. He had a bad day yesterday and decided to let the vent do the breathing for him. He is still having the vent do the work today. He did open his eyes for us and move his head briefly. But we have taken a slide back. As of right now he will stay on the vent. We saw the wound doctors yesterday and they placed a wound Vac. The wound is large and he is in an astronomical amount of pain, the wound is 2 feet long and 1.5 ft wide and deep enought to place my hand to my wrist.. The doctor states he may be here for a few months not weeks. So I am asking that you continue to show support so we can keep mom close to him. That is why we have increased the donation goal amount. They refuse to let me mom stay in the room past 8 pm and I refuse to allow her to sleep in her car so she will need lodging that is safe.

Hello, my name is Katelyn. I am setting up this go-fund-me in order to help with expenses for John while he is and will be in a medically induced coma until the sepsis infection in his blood has been fought due to a flesh eating bacteria that came on suddenly and has cost him a large portion of his left leg. He was brought into emergency surgery in the late evening of the 27th in Duluth. We are asking for support in order to keep my mom close.. even though he is not conscious, he can still hear us. He also has stage 4 cancer that we are still fighting and has caused his body greater stress and it will be a long recovery and he will be in the coma for the foreseeable future. He has given so much to others and helps anyone in need.
